Rapper Lil Wayne arrested in Boise

A well-known rap artist who was in Boise for a concert last night will spend the next few days behind bars.
25-year old Dwayne Michael Carter also known as Lil Wayne was arrested by Boise police on a felony warrant out of Georgia.
The musician was wanted for possession of a controlled substance.
Officers were tipped off about the warrant early yesterday and arrested Carter immediately after his concert at the big easy concert house.
Boise police say Carter will be in court on Monday, where he will more than likely be extradited back to Georgia.
Man Stabbed in Eye at Jay-Z’s Club

A fight at Jay-Z’s 40-40 Club ended with one man getting stabbed in the eye, police said.
Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Christopher Harris and Neville Dangou got into an argument at the West 25th Street nightspot. Dangou, 30, allegedly knifed Harris in the eye.
It was not immediately known what started the fight.
Harris is a Correction Academy cadet. He was off duty at the time. Doctors at St. Vincent’s Hospital said Harris was not in danger of losing his sight.
Dangou was arrested and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was released on $1,000 bail.
